poppers wore a hanners to change channers on the tv on the rockclimbing wall in rgs and the show was called "laiers and mokkers: a documentary about why they lai to others and mok people" she didnt like the show so she changed the channers and the next show was about how tanners tan stuff and minners mine stuff but she didnt like it so she decided to take a fleet of limmers (HAHA IDK LIMOS?!) home to study and learn new stuff and become a good leeners but she got bored of mugging so she decided to go back to the rockclimbing wall but then she realized the tv was spoilt so she became a manders and go mend the tv which started to work and broadcast the show called "PERFECT 10" :D

Time taken: 9.45 am-10.05am.

-The formation of the "clump" officially started at the end of our English SA.

The group of nine walked to the canteen, where we started our search for an ideal and private seating corner. Outdoors benches were suggested and strongly supported by majority except the one and only minority Miss Lai Ying Xiang, who insisted on sitting indoors due to her promise that she would become fairer than Miss Chua Si Min before FAM. Miss Larissa Ong resumes her recess by retrieving her usual lunchbox from her bag, and so does Miss Felicia Lim with her Winnie the Pooh Bento.

Next, Amanda Ng, Chua Simin, Tan Liying, and Han Ke Xin proceeded to Store 4, where Simin and Liying were involved in a heated argument regarding how they should split the cost of the Pringles which they would be sharing, whereas Amanda Ng and Han Ke Xin went through a vast selection of Kuehs. Finally, the four returned back to the "clump", now sitting at a corner with two tables joined. A semblance of a gang ceremony is observed.

Finally, the softballers went straight to the point. They hovered between a High School Musical Parody and many other choices, while Larissa Ong debates on the importance of winning, and there was some roles allocated to certain individuals:

cant imagine life without yall, really. thanks for bringing me so much joy through my four years in rg. even with all our little arguments and bickering, we managed to get through them and become even more bonded then ever (i think our clumping sessions are evident of that haha)

soooo yesterday concluded our last season as rgssoftballbdiv08. out of all the 11 games we've played this year, i honestly think yesterday was our best match ever (: wth who cares if it was a 3rd-4th placing match, to me it felt like we were playing our hearts out at the finals. we finally played up to our abilities and showed that the 15-1 score the other time was just a mistake.

am so proud of us (: like someone said, in our hearts we are winners. after all, trophies collect dust, but memories forever last (hmmm quotes seem to be the latest trend hehe)

and boy do i have enough memories to last a lifetime. haha from our (mandatory) pigout sessions before training, to our crystal jade meals (1.80 plain porridge ftw!), to our ability to get so high together, to our singing at the top of our voices, to our hokeypokeys, to all our whooshes and 1-2-3 outs, to our sleepovers, to our love of juggiewuggie, and to all our other quirky little traits. though jc will be a whole different experience (things are sure to change) i'll always think of the ten of us as rgssoftballbatch08, and nothing's ever gonna change that.

I have so much to say you know. Like how yesterday's match was proof of all we've got and all we could do; I know I've said this alot of times already but it really, really was the best damn game we've ever played. play like there's nothing to lose huh? =) and what 3rd/4th placing la, I don't care; It felt like the damn finals to me.

by right i should be in class now listening to n.chun talk about rates of reactions, but then yesterday i caught the flu buggg so in order to recover fully for tomorrow's match i decided to stay at home, very smartly forgetting that there was PFT today omg i feel so stupid i would have gone to school if i remembered ): actually i think im gonna go down to school later haha okay but my smartness was not the point of this whole post.

hello my favouritest batchmates!

its 18 days to the end of season (and its gonna be 18 days not 9 days kthx) anyway i was thinking, if we train 4 hours 3 times a week, 50 weeks a year, for 4 years (haha excluding illegal extra trainings lah) we would have spent more than 2400 hours training and sweating it out on our beloved muddy field, omg that's like 100 days. so yah i reallyreallyreally wanna make all these hours count, cos i know that we have it in us to play up to the best of our abilities. forget about SRCs, we're gonna whack them where it really matters. but most importantly, let's ultimately be happy regardless of the end result cos sometimes, winning really aint everything (though it may kinda feel that way) i mean honestly, i would rather us be really close like we are now and not win, rather then for us to be 10 seperate individuals who end up getting the gold. haha but i wont complain if we get CHAMPS :D

I LOVE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU, we're a perfect ten<3 and thanks for all the awesome memories.

There was something I was thinking of a while ago, when I was thinking of SRCs and trainings and SRCs and lack of trainings. I don't like to admit that I'd been thinking it. But I'd been losing faith. Losing faith in us, and what we could do; how we could've done it, but never did.

I don't know if any of you've had that feeling before. Or are having it now. This is something a friend said to me, though, that changed all those thoughts I was having. and even though it's not perfect, it's something I really wanna share with you guys. =)

I don't think [having match nerves] something you should be blamed for.
But... if it happens, try not to let it affect the rest. (Not game-wise, but in terms of mentality.)
The thing is... What will be will be.
Sometimes thinking more into it just ruins what should happen. Right now, you all are still training right?
What's that training for?
Your training time is limited, it's true, but if you don't believe it'll happen, there's no point in training.
Something I feel before every difficult game, is how everyone had spent a sleepless night thinking about the game, worrying about what might happen; worried about the outcome,
but when the team
sits together just before the match
and tell each other "hey we can do it"
it's a sense of security
like "hey, the rest are confident, i should be too"
so what happens is, while we're all unsure about what's going to happen when we were thinking about as individuals... when we come together, it's a totally different story. That's the whole point of encouragement. If you want to put it strangely... it's like the whole team is lying even though they're afraid. But because of that, everyone becomes more confident.

That's why, even if you're nervous,
or just plain scared to death,
never show it.
for that's something a team player will have to do;
shut out any form of negativity.
Don't let others be affected by it.

And at the same time, it's always important to trust one another.

Like... before a game it's natural to tell one another how nervous we are. (In my case, super, super scared.) Maybe that's what's getting to us? (Maybe it's happens unconsciously.) In any case I'm not going to do that again. Even if we're nervous/scared/we didn't have a good day/we're tired cos we didn't get enough sleep; even if we can't help what we're feeling at that point, we shouldn't show it on our faces. I think what's said up up there is quite true, cos I think when I see everyone with un-high/happy faces before a match (meaning not the faces we saw during the SRCs TK game), I feel down too.

We know what we can do.
So let's just go all out.

...So that's what I wanted to say. =) I also want to say that whatever happens, we're still the best team I know, and I love you all very very much. =)

Hey batch :) I thought really long and I just wanted to blog this post out so here goes!

Well I'm really, really worried for Bdiv. Have y'all been thinking about season? Which is probably going to start in about a month? In this month we won't have trainings together (like full batch) so I don't know how it is gonna be like and how Coach is gonna take things. So, my worry isn't that unjustified, right..?

I remember people telling us that our batch can do it yadayada and I really believe we can do it too but frankly speaking, I'm feeling so uncertain now, with the lack of trainings and whatnots.

And, it's the last year as Bdiv, last year in RG softball and it's OUR year, I really don't want to feel disappointed and I'm sure y'all don't want to feel that way too, right?

I know we want it but wanting and actually working hard for it is different. Anyway I don't even feel like I am actually working very hard but I'm willing to! I need to anyway :( so we will all work together, okay?

I realise I sound a bit selfish O: I'm not implying that we are not working hard or whatever, I just think that if we want it, we should work harder towards it and show everybody that we, the softballers from rgs, can whack it out and whatever whatever.

Felicia, I don't know if you're going to read this but you know as a pitcher, we depend on you a lot, I don't mean to give you stress or whatever but we got to work together, I hope you will pitch more and we will support you till the end ok?

And I don't know if y'all realise it but we haven't even gone out this whole holidays, what happened to our plans? D: I miss you all, it's just so different now!

before i carry on right, just a reminder about jugs - he's been quite lonely recently due to the lack of visitors at the cupboards. and he lost alot of weight, especially in the front (wheel).

anyway today NDP just ended, and I just realized something I found kinda touching.
like when we were discussing where to go and all that. yeah.

okay i shall be emo. i was just thinking....and i got really really scared, yeah and im not afraid to admit im scared for this thingy. like...well i guess i've heard stuff. seems true that people do change cca in JC yes, but the apparent issue for our year seems kinda serious, i don't wanna elaborate much coz im not that clear about the details myself but yeah. For our team, im scared.
to be honest, it'll really feel weird if anyone's missing. Say someone leaves, and you see the person walking around the school, and it just feels damn weird i guess. Like...I dno..like why did it have to happen? Like a bond's broken or something. so yeah...i guess as the years passed, my fear increased. We all know that people are joining us, but we don't know who's leaving. Then again, i pray no one leaves haha. but yeah.

okay im gonna be damn rou ma now so yall better appreciate this coz usually i wouldn't say stuff like this. as I was saying...yeah...somehow despite the fact that I can adapt rather easily to conditions, I seemed to have grown accustomed to the presence of you 9, such that there is this emotional attachment. no wait what am i saying, emotional attachment's normal, i mean like i dno. ahha like something sisterly, say imagine simin runs up and says " waaaaaaaah this stranger whacked me " yeah then i'll probably take a bat and wallop that guy like ABC?

like yeah, i guess im really really used (okay sounds like a bad word to use but you get my point) to seeing all of u at least 3 times a week, shouting all of your names at least more than 20 times for each training such that it's kinda weird, no that weird, like scary if all of a sudden all these doesn't happen anymore. Like the frequency changed or something. Don't like the feeling of missing someone, but then again in any case, it's different. It's like i dno...we laughed and cried in togetherness, had each our fair share of jokes and complaints be it about anything under the sun, and injure and got injured by each other. It's different from just a group of friends knowing each other and sitting on a table having lunch if you compare it to us. Like there's something else to it I can't say. Words can't describe I guess. And all of a sudden poof 3 years are practically over. And im thinking if we're lucky, it's 3 more years for us again, then again, if anything else happens beyond our control, it's one last year we've got 365 days later as the complete batch.

im thinking about how we fought our way through.
not our best.
but next year it'll be.
and all of a sudden i just realized why the " last season " was so important to the seniors.

Larissa's sleepover was really sweet. though we were all random at the very end. I think everyone thought i was asleep or everyone thought I sleptwalk the night before coz I just suddenly woke up at 3am and started walking around, plus you guys probably thought i was trying to gain enough sleep for my competition next day.

actually the truth was. I heard you guys talking about all those stuff, especially larissa saying we're probably the truly completely bonded batch, and all those thingies about us being people coming from completely different backgrounds, on different paths, going different direction, but united by one goal in this sport. I guess I just couldn't get to sleep then.

i suppose it's just paranoia haha ignore me cos i probably wnt say silly stuff like these anymore.

Okay I don't think I'll be able to concentrate on studying until I blog this post out haaa.

It's not how good we are, it's how much we want it.

Yesterday I was feeling nostalgic so I was reading my blog and many other people's blogs (archives). And I realised I have never wanted to win something so bad before, so softball is probably the first. I really, really, really want to get the Gold next year for ourselves, especially.

Actually I was really over thinking about softball as season is still quite a long time away but watching RI Cdiv play made me think how aggressive and fun softball really is. Maybe it's really too early to think of bdiv08 but just so you know, season training officially starts in probably 11 or 12 weeks? But during this 5/6 weeks left before training stops, we shouldn't waste the time either! Since season ended, I don't feel myself improving and I really don't like it :/

Basically, I've learnt to like softball a lot. I remember in Sec 1 I still liked badminton a lot and everything I don't remember much of training in Sec 1 anyway. But there was a game that I really regret a lot - FTP. Up till now, I don't know whether that ball was supposed to be Cheryl's or mine but it's over anyway. That match caused cdiv05 season to be over. I don't think anyone blamed me because I was only sec one, afterall. Sec 2 semifinals/finals. I missed so many balls and was too slow which caused many people coming home yadayada I can still feel it and imagine the ball going past my legs. Ha Sec 3, I didn't play catcher because you know why? I think I've never told anyone before right! It was because my attitude sucked but it's not nice to talk about it here anyway. But now, it's too late for regrets because next year I'm going to do my best and hope that I don't let anyone down (yesyes, especially myself). I can't think of how we won't make it semifinals next year, really. Okay, more like I don't wanna think.

If you feel angry or upset about something, talk it out don't keep it to yourself, okay? (okay..) And if you really feel angry about the t-i-c DON'T and I mean D-O-N-T argue with him. Just treat him as the ball and whack it really hard yes?

Promise we will work hard together..? Remember what MsChow told us last year, you've come so far, you will go the distance!

Bdiv08, we play as a team and win as a team. Remember, you're never alone. In a game, you have 8 other players to back you up. In the batch, you have 9 other batchmates to support you. I hope any of you doesn't lose passion or feel THAAAT sian when we have season training (ME INCLUDED, I fear) I love you people :) Gold, or nothing okay?

Hey guys,

I would really have been here if it weren't for some NYAA camp preparation. First of all, I would like to wish you guys all the best! I should think you all are jittery and excited, if not, zhen1 shi4 pei4 fu2. Anyway, you guys have come so far, and I wish I could be there to have experienced the whole blood, sweat, tears and laughter with you all.

Those kooky practises where we're going crazy chasing that little leather ball and an even harder time waving a bat at it, going deaf taking your anger out on the car tyre, singing to weird songs (remember how the frienships bloomed at boing boing squeak?)

Plucking grass bare and losing ourselves over a bad bat and ball day? How ironic that we sighed sometimes over practising tons of hours on the field and yet now when finally all is put to test that you feel unexpectedly unprepared? Well, throw away thoughts of having a bad day, go all out and have fun! This is what you've been waiting for!

So, no regrets, no giving up hope, win or lose, leave in a blaze of glory. Go that extra mile for that ball coming right your way, display that extra "oomph" to see that ball fly! Home run, it's all ours. You don't have to win the game to own it.

got "inspired" by liying today- [or rather, her comment :p] she mentioned about SRCs during class. actually the first thought that went through my mind was: huh, so? then while i was on the train back home from third lang [sorry for grandmother story] i was pondering it about it.

and not just any SRCs man, it's OUR SRCs! OUR YEAR. i mean, isn't this what all of us have been waiting for?

all these months we've just been sitting by, watching the seniors play. ruoqi/moons/yunyi/dawn/tami's power pitching, jem/jinghan's zai fielding, deborah/maria/liping's zai catching... and so on. seeing them having fun on the field while we are kept busy warming benches...NOT FAIR!

finally it's gonna be our time. in three months, it's amanda's time to lead, mok's time to assist her, flea's time to [eh what does a softball treasurer do ah? equipment all kept in cupboard what..], lari's time to take attendance (?) and shikaye & liying's time to ....keep equipment [BLAHAHAHA] :D

hey i know today wasnt very good and we were all feeling xian-ed and horrid.

heyy guys, Xin here. hmm...had been wondering about the training on Sat. thanks so much Su Lyn, for agreeing to help with the catching thingy. Yeah, you guys know what? Eileen's right. as in, we must train hard and bring the glory to coach, to RGS, and most importantly to ourselves, I mean, we've been training so hard, occasionally scolded by parents for concentrating so much on softball, neglecting our work sometimes due to exhaustion from trainings. What are all these actually for? It's for our championships-to-be.//

Since we're suffering ( so much ) , then why don't we put in our best in every training and put every single minute in every single training to good use? Imagine how much better our skills could get? RGSoftball's a name we share, and RGSoftball c-divs'06's gonna be OUR NAME next year, we're gonna be backbone of the team, to support the division and to guide our juniors along. Despite the fact I've watched several matches in school of our seniors, still, the SRCs at Padang left me the deepest imprint. I mean, you should remember how the seniors smiled at the Tanjong Katong Girls' Match ( if I weren't wrong ), saying they defeated themselves? I remember something clear that I've heard from Jinghan, and I doubt I will forget it as long as I'm still a softballer, that is " We don't care about the score anymore "

Victory's sweet obviously, needless to say, but I was just wondering since we've just started out as the RG c-divs for less than a month. Perhaps we could train like the seniors? The pitchers and catchers who went with me to RI, they should know and should've heard, Coach often mentions, wishing we're as automatic as his RI B-boys. Just look at them? It really does pay off, their RI sec4s were a consecutive golden batch. Although we've one of our years down, we could work hard for the rest of these 3 years, especially since RP's executed now. We could concentrate more. Eileen may be right in saying winning ain't important as long as we try. But as in, Coach had once commented that we're a fast batch, meaning our standard ain't bad, so why shouldn't we be confident to beat others to the championships next year?

Congratulations Joelle and Mandy, we'll fly high with you guys in lead. 6 years down the road, and all I wanna say in this post is, can we try to get the championships next year? Perhaps we're still new to the diamond, knowing the skills not knowing the tactics, but we can learn, and SRCs' for learning, hopefully, by SRCs, we'll be able to tell our own standard and learn from other teams. so...everyone, good luck for your EOYs , hope we come back to train with our morale at the peak.

Think of the day when people speak of RG C-Divs as a formidable team, when we're feared and respected, when people come to learn from us. Then maybe, everything seems lighter now.

Not being mean, but according to Coach, seems like his main concentration's on us next year instead of the RI c-divs, so we musn't let him down...

Just try a little more
and we could achieve something higher than the skies...

dOOd i miss the meringue-like melted marshmellows. hehe and the niceee raw food. and the pudding. and the green tea HAAGEN DAZ ice-cream only 3 of us ate but mostly didnt like. (why you guys leave so early) oh man. im getting soppy bout how time is flying so fast and im gonna miss being sec 1. sighhs. hmms some icky planes keep flying around my house. i think it's some army training or NDP rehearsal. heh people dont stress so much on bonding. it's having fun. and we should get to know each other more!
